Why do distances and sounds feel warped?

OMG! THAT HAPPENS TO ME! Everyone thinks i'm crazy, it also started when i was about 9 or 10, I'm now 23 and it's slowly going away. It happens only at night now and hardly ever. I've never known why it happens but I thought you'd like to know you're not the only one who has it.....maybe we're super people! LOL Although, i hate it, makes me feel sick and faint.
