Voted for someone who dropped out?

I live in a Super Tuesday state, and a week and a half ago, I sent in my early ballot. The candidate I voted for has dropped out, so my question is, can I change my vote? I'd hate to think that because I was trying to help slow down the mad rush of voters, I get penalized.
