Any Catholics who visited the Vatican what did you think of it?

Was anyone disappointed it was not a religious place to visit. I cant help but to think that it was a big tourist trap. People taking pictures in the confessionals... rosaries and medals that were way overpriced. In the churches people were loud, running around and being disrespectful. Nobody was being respectful in the church. Am I alone that this was bothersome or does anyone else feel the same way? Maybe i am being oversensitive.
