Childrens book about puppets?

There was this book that was read to my cl about a year ago about a "village" of puppets. It goes something like this: Each one of them was made different from the other. All the puppets received stickers from their master and the more stickers they had, the good things they did or the better they were or something. One puppet didn't have any stickers and the other puppets laughed at him. He finally decided to meet the master or the puppeteer, he told him his greatness is not measured by stickers. Something like that. Does anyone know the name of the book??
