I'm not going to do your homework for you, but I do offer my condolences. That is a really stupid question. I'd suggest looking at the specific characters and which specific consequences and actions are making them anxious. Specific examples are almost always a good place to start with essays. Although your teacher is apparently not a genius among literary ysts, so I can't guarantee s/he will like your essay, or that s/he even knows what a good essay looks like.
