A question about the Ten Commandments: What is meant by "Thou shall not kill"?

The original Hebrew reads as "thou shalt do no murder," which could be interpreted to mean that only the killing of innocents is wrong. Of course, the first four commandments are narcissistic horseshit, so take it as you will.
